Stress and Anxiety Treatment Gold Coast

We have worked with hundreds of patients with this problem by looking to break the cycle of stress and anxiety by approaching the problem from the body side of the mind body link, and we do this by looking at 3 areas

Removing Your Pain (if you have any)

Regulating Your Adrenal Fight/Flight Response

Regulating Your Breathing Pattern

  drug free treatment for anxiety

Stress, anxiety, panic attacks, depression. We see all of these on a daily basis in the clinic. Some patients come to us directly for help with these problems and others discover that we can help with them after presenting initially with a specific physical problem or injury. More and more people are aware that the mind and body are closely interlinked. If you are stressed and anxious it will effect your physical health, equally the reverse is true, and we can all see that if you have a health problem that keeps you from doing what you want then it will effect you mentally. However, often we have physical problems in the body that we aren't really aware of because they aren't causing us pain, these issues will often effect our mental state through their effect on our breathing and on our fight flight adrenal system. So not only can we help your mental state by removing pain from headaches, neck pain etc we can also reduce your adrenal levels and influence your breathing pattern and boost your immune system by work on your lymphatics.

OSTEOPATHY

How can this help? Won't just the thought of a visit to a "back cracker" such as an osteopath or chiropractor create stress?

Well not all therapists use manipulation & 'cracking'. Our osteopathy focuses on the nervous system & on verygentle treatment to rebalance areas of the nervous system that are out of balance. Often we use cranial osteopathy and craniosacral therapy. We will also look at the structure of the body, for example if ribs are out of alignment they can put pressure on the nervous system and this can increase your adrenalin levels which will definitely increase stress. Equally the diaphragm is of huge importance to how we breathe and this will strongly influence anxiety and our mental state. We also specialise in an area of osteopathy called 'cranial' and in cranio-sacral therapy both have excellent results in reducing stress and anxiety and in helping the body's major systems rebalance.

Please note that along with all other Doctors in Australia osteopaths are regulated and governed by the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA). As such with regard to any non musculoskeletal conditions that are listed on this website it is it is a regulatory requirement that we inform you that our osteopaths treat the aspects of those conditions relevant to their practice of osteopathy (e.g. with a focus on the musculoskeletal system). In addition the role of this treatment can not be overstated in that every patient that we treat is a unique individual and as a result each patient's treatment outcome will vary and will be influenced by that patient's unique presentation.
