Headaches, neck pain, stress and anxiety are all problems that we see a lot of and discovering cranial treatment is often a huge relief for those  patients as they love the gentle yet powerful principles behind cranial treatment.

Very little force is needed and often even within a minute of two of this gentle approach of placing the hands on the skull the patient will feel a major relaxation in their nervous system.  And of course that often means those tight muscles around the neck, the base of the skull and the jaw just start to melt and release.

What's controlling the muscles? The nervous system and that's why if you just treat the muscles through stretch or pressure often an hour or so after treatment they just tighten up again because the nervous system is in 'fight/flight' and is telling the body to lock down into a protective pattern

Gentle 'cranial' style treatment can also be a great way to treat back pain.

In fact we have used it to work on many different joint problems as the principles behind 'cranial' cn be easily adapted to the rest of the body

In fact w

Sinuses and Jaw Pain

are two problems that we often treat with cranial osteopathy and craniosacral therapy

Often we will work inside the mouth, along as with all cranial treatment the pressure is so light that you will hardly feel what we are doing. The mouth is very sensitive so must be handled gently, but that sensitivity also gives a great opportunity for change as it will feed back strongly into the nervous system
