Treatment For Headaches & Migraines
We certainly can't resolve all headaches, but if your headaches are due to a problem with the neck or the bones in your skull (cranium) then we usually get very good results. A problem in the neck will often refer up into the head (see the following article for more information : cervicogenic headaches,) and a problem with the cranial bones can equally be a problem.
We also have good results with stress related and anxiety related headaches. This is because our treatments for headaches are very gentle, the last thing you need is overly strong treatment that will make your head ache worse. Headaches & Migraines in Children
We have had excellent results working with headaches and migraines in children. Children simply won't tolerate treatment that is overly strong or hurts them, so our gentle approach is ideal
Abdominal Migraines
These are most common in children, they are part of the migraine group but the pain is in the belly not the head, They can develop into severe pain, nausea, cramping and even vomiting. We have successfully treated several cases of abdominal migraines. If you suspect your child has this condition please give us a ring to discuss the case as your other options for treatments are limited as most migraine medication has not been approved for use with children. Treatment within the medical profession is at present based around educating the child and the parents about the condition and developing coping strategies. (Ref, 1,2,3 below)
